The collective expertise of our wonderful team is what makes the difference here at Friendship Trap. Veteran production team members, many of whom have been building quality custom traps for decades, pride themselves on building the best traps in the industry. Likewise, many members of our management team have been in the trap business all their lives. By exercising great care in taking your order accurately, through meticulous attention to detail as we insure your traps are built precisely to your specifications, to delivering the product directly to you, we seek to delight you with your experience with Friendship Trap!
Chris - Owner/President
Chris purchased Friendship Trap Company in 2011. He brings over 25 years of global operations experience with some of the top corporations in the world to Friendship Trap. After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Industrial Engineering, he joined IBM and spent 14 years in progressive assignments throughout the IBM PC Company. Joining Dell Computer Corporation, Chris led the team responsible for designing Dell’s global manufacturing and distribution operations. He then joined Best Buy where he established the global operations for their private label business. Most recently, Chris was Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain for Avery Dennison Corporation’s RIS group, where he was responsible for 70 plants in 40 countries. Fulfilling a life-long desire to run his own business, and to live and work where he and his family like to vacation, Chris made the move to Maine and bought Friendship Trap. He believes adding his operational expertise to the trap building expertise at Friendship Trap will be a powerful combination benefiting our customers. Chris is married with three children.

Mike - Special Advisor
Most of you know that Mike has spent the majority of his working life refining the art of making the highest quality lobster traps. This is a passion he won’t set aside easily, so he will be remaining with Friendship Trap Company for an indefinite period of time in a special advisory role to insure we maintain the same high standards he has worked so hard over the years to put in place. He is available to our customers as always, and will assist Chris in a variety of other aspects of the business.

Jerry - Outside Sales
Jerry is the only full-time trap salesman in the industry. He is on the road every day, going directly to you, our customers, to make sure you are fully satisfied with your orders. Jerry's territory covers: Stonington, ME to Newport, RI, Jerry has been part of the FTC Team since 1995.

Mark - Production Manager
Mark is responsible for hiring and managing the people that build your traps at our Friendship location. He also keeps our daily operations running smoothly and makes sure all orders in Friendship are completed on time and to your satisfaction. Mark has 30 years experience manufacturing wire lobster traps.

Joe Reynolds - Local Sales
Joe has taken over local sales for Friendship Trap Company. He lived in Portland for many years, and during his time there he was employed at Napa Auto Parts. Joe became knowledgeable in many different areas of the company, and his experience with sales and service allow for a wonderful fit in his customer-relations position at Friendship trap. Joe moved to the Union area in July of 2012, and has been working his way up and down the midcoast, meeting new people and learning all that he can about the lobstering industry since then. Megan - Office Manager
Having grown up in Owls Head, the lobstering industry has been a large part of Megan's life. Megan is managing the office, and with her prior management experience at the Lord Camden Inn and Grand Harbor Inn in Camden, plus her financial background that she acquired from servicing mutual funds while working for Boston Financial Services, she is a great fit. Megan is excited to be working in an industry that she takes great pride in. She is married and lives in Thomaston.

Sarah - Customer Service Representative/Dispatching
Sarah has been with Friendship Trap Company since March of 2011. Her past employment experience as an Administrative Assistant for MBNA and Maritime Energy lends perfectly to the organization and dedication that is required in her customer service and dispatching rold with the company. She was raised in Tenant's Harbor, and has been connected to the lobster industry throughout her life. Sarah works directly with our customers, arranging deliveries and communicating about trap needs and questions. Malcolm - Internal Sales
Malcolm Wadsworth has been with Friendship Trap Company since 2007, and has focused on sales primarily since 2010. Malcolm's experience in manufacturing, along with the Wadsworth eye for detail, provides for a knowledge and expertise in selling lobster traps and supplies that would satisfy any customer.
